Book 2

Writing of my 2nd book, “Momentum: A Faith Powered Journey” is progressing well with another seven hours put in over the weekend. The goal of the book is to take the reader on my faith journey and see how God was working through all the ups and downs, twists and turns along the way. I want to encouraging/inspire the reader to see that though life is hard, times get tough, the valley’s are deep, but then God shows up. In fact, He’s always there, always at work in our life. It’s an inspiring story and one that I pray will encourage you in your own faith journey. Currently praying to publish by year end. Blessings, Greg

Momentum: A Faith Powered Journey

Happy Saturday! Excited to continue writing my 2nd book today, ‘Momentum: A Faith Powered Journey.’ As with book one, I always start with prayer and seeking God’s wisdom as I write. My words will only encourage and inspire you short term. But God’s word is alive and active with power to restore, create and heal. Sharing His voice and pointing the reader to Jesus who truly transforms is the passion for every word I write. God has given me so much material and I can’t wait to share it with you, hopefully the end of this year. Here’s one of the verses I start with that will lead into the book. “Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of Him to the other side.” Matthew 14:22 NIV. Grab your Bible and read the rest of the story. Have a blessed day, Greg

Psalm 71:17

Woke up this morning after a dream with someone telling me to read Psalm 71:17. Picking up my Bible this morning, I found the following, “17 “Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.” I then noticed the following vs, “18 Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.” With the writing of book 2 in progress, I just can’t help but feel God is saying this is exactly what He has called me to do and that He is confirming His will for it as well, that being old and gray isn’t so bad, in fact a good thing. Not sure if I will add this to the introduction or conclusion, but will definitely add this story. This is a ‘Faith Powered Journey’ and this is how faith works, seeking God with prayer and reading His word and He speaks. I really can’t wait to share this book with you. My goal from book 1 and continuing with this one as well, is if I can impact one life for Christ it is worth all the time and cost involved. This life we live here is so short compared to eternity and this Easter weekend we should all be considering the meaning behind what Christ did and why He did it. John 3:16 – 17.

Why I Write

Why do I write, why do I feel compelled to share my stories with the world? For the same reason someone once took the time to share their stories in a book I read, ultimately leading me to see my need for a relationship with Jesus that would transform my life, and that is to glorify God. That was almost 38 years ago and God has laid on my heart to do the same, share my stories of how He transformed my life, answered prayer and proved Himself to be the faithful God of the Bible He claims to be. I have seen it at work in my life and shared some of that in my first book, “Momentum: The Transformational Power of Leadership.”  Book 2, “Momentum: A Faith Powered Journey” will take the reader deeper into the story, starting from the beginning when I had no faith in God, where I was at, the events at that time and how Jesus showed up and transformed my life. I will then share the stories, some of which are shared in book 1, but now behind the scenes and putting the events in chronological order so you can see for yourself how God was orchestrating everything to bring about His plan for our life. The goal is to encourage the reader, that no matter what’s going on in their life, to see that God is in control and will take them through the hard times. It just takes time and sometimes the journey is smooth sailing, quick answers to prayer and other times it seems the boat is about to break apart and you’re wondering where God is. I really can’t wait to finish it and share it with you. I pick back up writing this weekend with the goal of publishing by the end of the year. “Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.” 2 Corinthians 9:13
